Some Thoughts

Last night, I dreamed that some show on HBO was moving to A&E and that everyone was mad because that meant that there would no longer be sex scenes. In my dream, this was a really big deal and people were freaking out hard core. I'm glad that my dreams are not generally an accurate reflection of the real world.

What if a hot tub caught on fire? How hot would it be?

I was trying to wash my yellow shirt today so nobody would poke my eyes and pull my hair on Leap Day, but my roommate's clothes are all sitting in the washer, and he's still asleep.

My right foot has this weird pulling sensation under the arch. it feels like one of the tendons or something is shortened, and when I step the wrong way, it stretches it past capacity. I know this is kind of a long shot, but any ideas as to what's going on and how to solve it? So far, my efforts at stretching my feet and lower legs have been futile.

On a related note, due to my strange foot issue (I wouldn't call it an injury because it doesn't cause much pain... it just feels weird and uncomfortable), I haven't been able to run since Saturday. Now, I'm starting to get really hyper and antsy.

Prunes are really good... too good if you catch my drift. I've eaten way more than I should have over the last few days.

Also, I've noticed that, recently, companies have been marketing prunes as "dried plums". C'mon, son! Everybody knows that they're actually prunes.

One last thing... while we're on the topic of prunes, my fingers and toes were looking real pruney in the shower the other day. Just thought you should know.

Oatmeal Cookie Recipe

I like to bake stuff, but I don't like really complicated recipes (their easier to screw up). Also, I like to use ingredients that I already own. I don't have any flour, but I do have plenty of Bisquik. Fortunately, I found this awesome oatmeal cookie recipe that uses Bisquik instead of flour. My friends liked them so maybe you will too (assuming you are not my friends. If you are, in fact, my friends, you can now produce cookies even when I'm not around).

BISQUICK OATMEAL - RAISIN COOKIES
2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 (5 1/3 oz.) can evaporated skim milk

Mix all ingredients in the order given until moistened. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, about 12-15 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Some Thoughts

They should put those pedestrian bridges at every major intersection. Being a pedestrian is bad enough. Why make it worse by forcing people to wait at lights?

I've gotten sick (coughing, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, and/or upset stomach) three times in the last month or so. What's up with that? My immune system needs to step its game up.

I'm not really that excited with the Patriots Giants rematch. I would have much rather seen Baltimore and San Francisco play each other in the super bowl.

I think I draw better when I'm in class or when I'm watching television. Something about having other things going on in the background eases the pressure. I guess I'm more creative when art is an escape or a diversion rather than the primary focus.

Do people tip the chefs at restaurants? What if you have great food, but terrible service?

How long has Brian Scalabrine been "The White Mamba"? This is news to me.

Don't you hate it when you brush your teeth and then you get really hungry a little while later?
