Analogies Gone Wild!

I just watched Nike's video promoting the new LunarGlide+ 3 running shoe and they used an analogy to describe every single piece of technology. I realize that this video's target audience probably has a very limited understanding of the terms and concepts associated with running shoes, but do they really think pictures of swing sets and trampolines will help them? Have they really lost faith in their consumers' ability to comprehend foreign concepts without the use of supplemental playground imagery? Was Nike's advertising department outsourced to Sesame Street? It's one thing to use a helpful analogy accompanied by a visual aide every once in a while, but to use them this much is annoying and insulting... but don't take my word for it:

In conclusion, I think this advertisement fails at entertaining and properly informing me about Nike LunarGlide+3... It's kind of like how the kid in this video fails at doing complex gymnastics moves on a playground swing set:
See what I did there?
