Some Thoughts

They should put those pedestrian bridges at every major intersection. Being a pedestrian is bad enough. Why make it worse by forcing people to wait at lights?

I've gotten sick (coughing, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, and/or upset stomach) three times in the last month or so. What's up with that? My immune system needs to step its game up.

I'm not really that excited with the Patriots Giants rematch. I would have much rather seen Baltimore and San Francisco play each other in the super bowl.

I think I draw better when I'm in class or when I'm watching television. Something about having other things going on in the background eases the pressure. I guess I'm more creative when art is an escape or a diversion rather than the primary focus.

Do people tip the chefs at restaurants? What if you have great food, but terrible service?

How long has Brian Scalabrine been "The White Mamba"? This is news to me.

Don't you hate it when you brush your teeth and then you get really hungry a little while later?

Honestly, I'd be willing to bet the Nets win a game before the Colts... just saying. Also, if the Packers go undefeated, I will not look at you like this sh*t gravy. I will be pissed.

Edit: I stand corrected. Colts are no longer winless and Packers are no longer undefeated. Today is a good day.

Shouts out to my favorite Lion

In case you didn't know, the Detroit Lions have a 5-0 record right now. And, as you would expect with any undefeated team, the bandwagon is looking pretty crowded. For the record, I have nothing against these fair-weather fans (I certainly wasn't digging out my Lions cap when they were 0-16). However, I do think it would behoove these new-found followers to familiarize themselves with a little bit of Detroit Lions history. For this reason, I thought I'd post a few videos of the great Barry Sanders.

Go Green! Go... Bronze?

I may be a Sun Devil, but I'll always have a little Spartan in me. Because of that, I was particularly offended when I saw Michigan State's atrocious new 2011 Nike Pro Combat football uniforms.

Generally, I'm a fan of the pro-combat stuff, but Nike does have a tendency to buck tradition in favor of cool colorways and graphics. I think that's the case here. Since when was "bronze" one of MSU's color's? I think the fight song explicitly says, "fight for the only colors: Green and White!". Those are supposed to be the only freaking colors! They didn't even include white at all. If I didn't know better, I would think that these were Baylor's jerseys.

Above all, what pisses me off the most is the fact that they're wearing these when they play University of Michigan. Who goes into a rivalry game without their school colors? Next thing you know, we'll be in neon yellow like Oregon. Leonidas wouldn't take this crap.
